Originally established in 1928, DAF is a Dutch truck manufacturer. It is now a division of Paccar Inc, which is one of the largest manufacturers of medium and heavy duty commercial vehicles in the world. The DAF headquarters and main plant are in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, while cabs and axle assemblies are produced in Belgium.
With that said, the DAF CF is a range of trucks produced by Leyland Trucks for DAF in the UK. It was originally known as the DAF 65, 75 and 85 in 1992. By 2019 the DAF CF Series was available in two, three and four axle configurations, single or tandem drive and a range of PACCAR engines.
DAF promotes the series by drawing attention to its compact external cab dimensions (for better manoeuvrability in tight spaces), low kerb weight (for higher payloads), sturdy design, a number of engine options, and a range of chassis and axle configurations.
