The Subaru Tribeca is a mid-size Sport Utility vehivle (SUV) sold from 2005 to 2014. The name “Tribeca” is a nod to the trendy Tribeca neighborhood of New York City. The Tribeca was built on the Subaru Legacy platform and was sold in five and seven seat configuration
The vehicle was initially announced as the B9X at the South Florida Auto Show in 20114, but was renamed the B9 Tribeca in December after customer feedback. The Tribeca made its worldwide debut at the North American International Auto Show in January 2005 and was scheduled to go on sale in summer 2005. In 2007 the ‘B9’ part of the name was dropped, and it received a substantial facelift.
However, in January 2012 Subaru announced that the Tribeca line would end production in December 2012. The primary reason for this, according to dealers, was slow sales.
